Dr Trent WhittakerMy interest in biomechanics and the function of the human body, its response and adaption to injury and stress began in 2011 after completing my Certificate IV in fitness and commencing employment as a personal trainer. This allowed me to educate and support my clients in reaching their health and fitness goals.
As my love of learning and physical performance grew, I undertook further studies and in 2017, completed a Diploma of Remedial Massage, as well as Certificates I and II in Dry Needling and Myofascial Decompression (cupping). As I began to transition into working within a practice as a remedial massage therapist, I discovered the more clinical side of patient care. I quickly became passionate about the process of diagnosis, and the biomechanical implications (postural/ functional deficits) of musculoskeletal conditions. I completed five years of study at Macquarie University, where I received my Bachelor of Chiropractic and Master of Chiropractic. I am a member of the Australian Chiropractors Association, (ACA), and the Association of Massage Therapists (AMT). My combined qualifications provide a broad skill set in relation to the treatment of mechanical conditions of the musculoskeletal system, rehabilitation, strength and conditioning. I can assist with a wide range of musculoskeletal complaints by focusing on restoring and improving the biomechanics and function of the neuromusculoskeletal system with the use of chiropractic, myofascial and other soft tissue techniques, as well as exercise and rehabilitative prescription to help my patients achieve their ideal outcomes. |
